Terms of Service

Effective date: July 1, 2026 · Last updated: July 1, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of kinevents (the “Service”), a family-calendar application operated by TenantSentinel LLC (“TenantSentinel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, starting a trial, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account or purchase a subscription. If you add or invite other people (including family members) to your calendar, you represent that you have the authority to do so and that you are responsible for their use of your calendar.

2. Your account

The Service uses passwordless, magic-link sign-in tied to an email address. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email account and for all activity that occurs under your calendar. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account or calendar has been accessed without authorization.

3. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

4. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. When you cancel, your subscription remains active through the end of the current billing period and then stops; your calendar becomes read-only rather than being deleted. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the events, names, and other information you and your members add to your calendar (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights to use it.

6. Imported calendar feeds

The Service can import read-only calendar feeds (for example, Google Calendar or other iCal/ICS URLs) that you provide. You are responsible for ensuring you are permitted to import and display those feeds. Imported events are controlled at their source; we display them as provided and are not responsible for their accuracy or availability.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by: using it for any unlawful purpose; attempting to access accounts or data that are not yours; probing, scanning, or testing the security of the Service without authorization; scraping or bulk-extracting data; interfering with or disrupting the Service; or reselling the Service without our permission.

8. Service availability

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but it is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements. The Service is a scheduling convenience and should not be relied upon as the sole record for critical time-sensitive matters.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TenantSentinel LLC and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TenantSentinel LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New Jersey.
